Start Writing and Be Patient

Now that you know how to start a blog (frankly, that was the easy part), you now need to know how to make money from it. First thing you should know about making money from blogs is that it isn’t a quick overnight mint, but it’s the way to go for someone who is looking for solid long-term earnings. The key to making money from blogging is to keep on writing and writing and writing more. You’d say that’s kind of obvious, but make no mistake- if you know what you’re talking about, your site will slowly gain credibility and search engines such as Google and Bing will cache more of your posts as web traffic to your blog increases. If you can keep this up, your blog would soon be popular and the go to place for the thing or things you write about. This can’t happen overnight.

Monetize your blog with Google AdSense

We recommend Google AdSense because its free and it’s great for passive income. Just set it up and forget that its running. To start with Google AdSense, go the official website and register your blog with the service. Once your blog is accepted by them, it’s time to start placing ads on your blog.

Become an Affiliate Marketer

Affiliate Marketer

Affiliate marketing means signing up in the affiliate program of a company and referring its products and services to your readers in your blog via an advertisement, text link or a blog post. This is easy money as you receive commission when your readers buy the products referred by you. However, I would be wise to sign up only with trusted companies as otherwise your blog might lose credibility.

Offer Premium Content

Not everything in your blog has to be for everyone’s eyes. Keep some content as premium which can only be accesses in exchange for a fee. You can even make subscription plans if you have a good following. In the event that your blog is about giving lessons in some language or particular discipline, and if you have a dedicated user base, this is a very lucrative and easy way of having a recurring income.

Get Started Already!

What are you waiting for? Procrastination is the devil of success. Go and get started on that blog. Start today, this very moment and don’t put it off till tomorrow. If you put it off once, chances are you will never start because you won’t be convinced about this as long as you don’t try this. So start right now and march on the road to success.  Bon Voyage!
